These valentine brookies combine rich fudgy brownies with soft chewy cookies in one festive dessert. Perfect for Valentine’s Day sharing and gifting.
Brownie Layer:
1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted
1 cup granulated sugar
2 eggs
1/3 cup cocoa powder
1/2 cup all-purpose flour
1/4 tsp salt
Cookie Layer:
1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened
1/2 cup brown sugar
1/4 cup granulated sugar
1 egg
1 tsp vanilla extract
1 1/4 cups all-purpose flour
1/2 tsp baking soda
1/4 tsp salt
1/2 cup chocolate chips

1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a baking pan with parchment paper.
2. Mix brownie ingredients until smooth and spread evenly in the pan.
3. In another bowl, cream butter and sugars for the cookie layer.
4. Add egg and vanilla, then mix in dry ingredients.
5. Fold in chocolate chips.
6. Drop spoonfuls of cookie dough over the brownie layer and gently spread.
7. Top with Valentine sprinkles.
8. Bake for 30–35 minutes until edges are set but center is slightly soft.
9. Cool completely before slicing.
Do not overbake for best gooey texture.
Brookies firm up as they cool.
