Scale

1 cup cottage cheese

1 cup chunky salsa, drained

1/4 cup canned black beans, drained and rinsed

1/2 avocado, chopped

1 tablespoon fresh cilantro, minced

Optional for serving:

Tortilla chips

Whole-grain crackers

Fresh vegetable sticks

Pita chips

Instructions

1. Place the cottage cheese in a medium serving bowl.

2. Stir in 3/4 cup of the drained chunky salsa until evenly combined.

3. Spread the mixture into an even layer.

4. Spoon the remaining 1/4 cup salsa over the top.

5. Sprinkle the drained black beans evenly across the dip.

6. Top with the chopped avocado.

7. Finish with the fresh minced cilantro.

8. Serve immediately with tortilla chips, crackers, pita chips, or fresh vegetables.

Notes

Drain the salsa before mixing to keep the dip thick and creamy.

Blend the cottage cheese first if you prefer a completely smooth texture.

Add diced jalapeños or hot sauce for extra heat.

A squeeze of fresh lime juice brightens the flavor.

Store leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 2 days.

For the freshest appearance, add the avocado just before serving.
