8 ounces cream cheese softened 8 tablespoons unsalted butter melted 12 graham cracker sheets crushed 2 tablespoons granulated sugar 1/2 teaspoon kosher salt divided 1 medium orange 1/2 cup powdered sugar 1 tablespoon vanilla extract 8 ounces whipped topping thawed 2 tablespoons orange gelatin dessert mix

Instructions

1. Line an 8×8-inch baking pan with parchment paper. Melt the butter and allow it to cool slightly. Process graham crackers, sugar, and salt into fine crumbs. Mix melted butter into the crumbs until combined. Press crust firmly into the prepared baking pan. Refrigerate the crust while preparing the filling. Blend orange zest and juice with cream cheese, powdered sugar, vanilla, and salt until smooth. Transfer half cup of the cream cheese mixture into a bowl. Fold whipped topping into the vanilla layer and spread over crust. Mix orange gelatin powder into the remaining cream cheese mixture. Fold whipped topping into the orange mixture until smooth. Spread the orange layer evenly over the vanilla layer. Top with remaining whipped topping and smooth evenly. Cover and refrigerate for at least 4 hours before slicing. Garnish with orange wedges and zest before serving.

Notes

Homemade whipped cream can replace frozen whipped topping. Chill overnight for the cleanest slices. Store leftovers in airtight containers inside the refrigerator. The crust softens slightly over time but still tastes delicious.
