Easy homemade mint chocolate chip ice cream with refreshing peppermint flavor and creamy texture.
2 cups 2% milk
2 cups heavy cream
1 cup sugar
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
1 teaspoon peppermint extract
1/2 teaspoon salt
3 drops green food coloring optional
1 cup miniature semisweet chocolate chips
1. Combine milk, cream, sugar, vanilla extract, peppermint extract, and salt in a bowl
2. Stir until sugar fully dissolves
3. Add green food coloring if desired
4. Pour mixture into ice cream maker
5. Churn according to manufacturer’s instructions
6. Add chocolate chips after 10 minutes of churning
7. Continue churning until thickened
8. Transfer to airtight container
9. Freeze for 2 hours before serving
