A hearty hamburger casserole packed with ground beef, pasta, cheese, and classic cheeseburger flavors.
8 oz elbow macaroni
1 lb ground beef
1 large yellow onion, finely chopped
3 cloves garlic, finely chopped
1 can diced tomatoes
1/2 cup mayonnaise
1/4 cup chopped dill pickles
1/4 cup ketchup
2 tbsp Worcestershire sauce
2 tbsp mustard
1 tsp black pepper
6 oz shredded cheddar cheese
2 tbsp sesame seeds optional
1 head romaine lettuce chopped
Salt to taste
1. Preheat oven to 400 degrees F
2. Cook pasta until very al dente and transfer to baking dish
3. Brown ground beef until fully cooked then transfer to baking dish
4. Cook onion and garlic until softened
5. Add tomatoes mayonnaise pickles ketchup Worcestershire mustard water salt and pepper
6. Combine sauce with beef and pasta
7. Stir in half the cheese
8. Top with remaining cheese and sesame seeds
9. Bake for 10 to 12 minutes until bubbly
10. Top with chopped lettuce and serve
Use sharp cheddar for extra flavor
Prepare one day ahead and refrigerate
