Juicy and flavorful Ground Beef Tacos made with homemade taco seasoning and fresh toppings. Perfect for busy weeknights and family dinners.
1 tablespoon olive oil
1 pound lean ground beef
2 teaspoons chili powder
2 teaspoons cumin
1/2 teaspoon oregano
1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/2 teaspoon black pepper
2 tablespoons tomato paste
1/2 cup water
8 corn or flour tortillas
Lettuce finely chopped
Shredded Mexican cheese blend
Tomatoes chopped
Red onions chopped
1. Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium-high heat
2. Add ground beef and cook until browned
3. Drain excess fat if necessary
4. Add chili powder cumin oregano garlic powder salt and pepper
5. Stir in tomato paste and water
6. Cook until sauce thickens about 3 to 5 minutes
7. Warm tortillas
8. Fill tortillas with taco meat
9. Top with lettuce tomatoes cheese and onions
10. Serve immediately
Store leftovers for up to 4 days
Freeze taco meat for up to 3 months
Add a splash of water when reheating
