A golden, caramelised fruit-on-bottom tart made effortlessly in the air fryer.
1 sheet puff pastry, thawed
2 cups sliced fruit (such as peaches, apples, or pineapple)
3-4 teaspoons honey or maple syrup
1 large egg (for egg wash)
1 teaspoon cinnamon (optional)
1. Preheat your air fryer to 350-400 °F (≈ 175-200 °C).
2. Line the air fryer basket with a parchment paper cut to size.
3. Drizzle the honey or syrup onto the parchment and arrange sliced fruit on top.
4. Cut the thawed puff pastry sheet into rectangles that fit your basket and place each piece over the fruit, pressing the edges gently to form a border.
5. Beat the egg and brush the pastry tops with the egg wash.
6. Air fry for 8-10 minutes or until the pastry is golden and puffed.
7. Carefully flip each tart onto a serving plate and air fry an additional 2-5 minutes if needed until the top is evenly browned.
8. Let the tart rest for 1 minute, then serve warm or at room temperature.
Leave space between tarts in the air fryer so the pastry can puff properly.
Pat dry very juicy fruit slices to avoid sogginess.
Use a thin spatula to help release any stuck edges after flipping.
For a richer flavour, add a pinch of nutmeg or top with whipped cream when serving.
