This Cottage Cheese Ranch Dip is a creamy, high-protein alternative to traditional ranch. Made with cottage cheese, herbs, and seasonings, it’s perfect as a dip for vegetables, crackers, chips, sandwiches, or as a healthy salad dressing.
2 cups low-fat cottage cheese
2 tablespoons lemon juice
1 teaspoon garlic powder
1 teaspoon onion powder
1 teaspoon dried parsley
2 teaspoons fresh or dried dill
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/4 teaspoon black pepper
1/4 cup water or milk (optional, for thinning)
1. Add the cottage cheese, lemon juice, garlic powder, onion powder, parsley, dill, salt, and black pepper to a high-powered blender or food processor.
2. Blend until the mixture becomes completely smooth and creamy.
3. If the dip is too thick, add 2 tablespoons of water or milk and blend again.
4. Repeat with additional water or milk until your desired consistency is reached.
5. Taste the dip and adjust the salt and pepper if needed.
6. Transfer the dip to an airtight container.
7. Refrigerate for at least 1 hour to allow the flavors to develop.
8. Serve chilled with fresh vegetables, crackers, chips, sandwiches, wraps, or use as a salad dressing.
Use low-fat cottage cheese for a lighter dip.
Small-curd or large-curd cottage cheese both work well.
Taste your cottage cheese before adding salt since some brands are naturally salty.
Blend thoroughly for the smoothest texture.
Store leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 5 days.
Thin with extra water or milk to make a creamy ranch dressing.
