This Cottage Cheese Buffalo Chicken Dip is a creamy, high-protein twist on the classic appetizer. Made without cream cheese, it’s packed with shredded chicken, buffalo sauce, cheddar cheese, and blended cottage cheese for a healthier game day snack.

Ingredients

Scale

1 cup cottage cheese

1 tablespoon olive oil

1/4 cup buffalo sauce

1/2 teaspoon garlic powder

1/2 teaspoon onion powder

Salt and black pepper to taste

1/4 cup shredded cheddar cheese

1 cup shredded cooked chicken breast

1 cup diced red bell pepper

2 green onions, sliced

Extra shredded cheddar cheese for topping (optional)

Pita chips, crackers, tortilla chips, or fresh vegetables for serving

Instructions

1. Preheat your air fryer to 375°F and lightly grease a medium oven-safe baking dish.

2. Add the cottage cheese, olive oil, buffalo sauce, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and black pepper to a high-powered blender or food processor.

3. Blend until the mixture is completely smooth and creamy.

4. Pour the blended mixture into the prepared baking dish.

5. Stir in the shredded chicken, cheddar cheese, diced red bell pepper, and sliced green onions until evenly combined.

6. Sprinkle additional shredded cheddar cheese over the top if desired.

7. Air fry for 8 to 10 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and lightly golden.

8. Carefully remove the hot dish from the air fryer and allow it to cool for a few minutes.

9. Serve warm with pita chips, crackers, tortilla chips, celery sticks, carrots, or sliced vegetables.

Notes

Adjust the buffalo sauce for a milder or spicier dip.

Freshly cooked or rotisserie chicken both work well.

Blend the cottage cheese until perfectly smooth for the creamiest texture.

Store leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 4 days.

Reheat in the microwave or air fryer before serving.
