Ingredients

Scale

2 tablespoons freshly ground coffee beans 1 cup hot water about 200°F Sugar to taste optional Milk or cream optional

Instructions

1. Heat fresh water until it reaches about 200°F or just below boiling. Place the ground coffee into a coffee filter or French press. Slowly pour the hot water over the coffee grounds. Allow the coffee to brew for 3 to 4 minutes depending on the method used. Press the plunger if using a French press or allow the coffee to drip through the filter. Pour the freshly brewed coffee into a mug. Add sugar milk or cream if desired and enjoy.

Notes

For the best flavor grind coffee beans just before brewing. Use filtered water to improve taste. Adjust the coffee-to-water ratio depending on how strong you prefer your coffee.
