A classic club sandwich layered with turkey, crispy bacon, lettuce, tomato, and toasted bread.
6 slices toasted bread
1/2 cup mayonnaise
2 tablespoons Dijon mustard
4 slices turkey or chicken breast
8 lettuce leaves
8 slices bacon
1 tomato
2 slices red onion
4 basil leaves
1. Toast the bread slices.
2. Mix mayonnaise and Dijon mustard.
3. Spread the mixture on each slice.
4. Add turkey to two slices.
5. Top with lettuce, bacon, and tomato.
6. Add another slice of bread.
7. Spread more mayonnaise mixture.
8. Add the remaining turkey and vegetables.
9. Top with the final bread slice.
10. Press gently.
11. Cut and serve.
Use freshly cooked bacon.
Serve immediately after assembling.
Omit onion if preferred.
