Soft chocolate caramel cookies with a rich cocoa base and gooey caramel center.

Ingredients

1/2 cup butter

3/4 cup brown sugar

1 egg

1 tsp vanilla extract

1 cup flour

1/2 cup cocoa powder

1 tsp baking soda

1/2 tsp salt

1 tsp cornstarch

1 1/2 cups chocolate chips

18 caramel candies

Instructions

1. Cream butter and sugar

2. Add egg and vanilla

3. Mix dry ingredients separately

4. Combine wet and dry mixtures

5. Add chocolate chips

6. Chill dough for 3 hours

7. Wrap dough around caramel

8. Bake at 350F for 10 minutes

Notes

Do not overbake

Chill dough for best texture

Use soft caramel candies
