Juicy chicken tacos made with homemade taco seasoning and a flavorful one-pan sauce for the ultimate Tex-Mex dinner.
700g boneless skinless chicken thighs
1.5 tbsp olive oil
2 tbsp tomato paste
2 tsp sugar
1 cup chicken broth
3 tbsp lime juice
1 tbsp olive oil
2 garlic cloves minced
2 tsp garlic powder
2 tsp onion powder
2 tsp dried oregano
3 tsp cumin powder
3 tsp paprika
1/2 tsp cayenne pepper
1 tsp salt
1/2 tsp black pepper
Taco shells or tortillas
Tomato
Onion
Avocado
Lettuce
Cheese
Sour cream
1. Mix seasoning ingredients with broth to form a paste
2. Coat chicken with seasoning mixture
3. Heat oil in skillet
4. Cook chicken for 3 minutes per side
5. Remove chicken from skillet
6. Add broth tomato paste sugar and leftover seasoning
7. Stir and simmer
8. Shred chicken with forks
9. Return chicken to sauce
10. Cook for 2 to 3 minutes
11. Warm tortillas
12. Fill tacos with chicken and toppings
13. Serve immediately
