Easy homemade calzones filled with mozzarella cheese and your favorite pizza toppings.
2 pounds pizza dough 2 cups mozzarella cheese 1 beaten egg 2 tablespoons parmesan cheese Italian seasoning Pepperoni Cooked sausage Mushrooms Bell peppers Onions Pizza sauce for dipping
1. Preheat oven to 450 degrees. Divide dough into 8 portions. Roll each into a circle. Add fillings to one half. Sprinkle with cheese. Fold dough over fillings. Seal the edges. Cut small slits on top. Brush with egg wash. Sprinkle parmesan and seasoning. Bake for 12 to 14 minutes. Cool slightly and serve.
Freeze baked or unbaked calzones for up to 3 months. Serve with marinara sauce. Air fryer instructions are included.
