1 cup white sugar

1 tablespoon all-purpose flour

1 teaspoon ground cinnamon

3 tablespoons water

1 cup quick-cooking oats

1 cup all-purpose flour

1 cup packed brown sugar

1/4 teaspoon baking powder

1/4 teaspoon baking soda

1/2 cup butter, melted

Instructions

1. Preheat oven to 350°F and prepare a 9×13-inch baking dish

2. Arrange sliced apples evenly in the baking dish

3. Mix white sugar, flour, and cinnamon together

4. Sprinkle the mixture over the apples

5. Pour water evenly over the apples

6. Combine oats, flour, brown sugar, baking powder, and baking soda in a bowl

7. Add melted butter and stir until crumbly

8. Sprinkle topping evenly over apples

9. Bake for 45 minutes or until golden brown and bubbling

10. Allow to cool slightly before serving

Notes

Honeycrisp, Fuji, and Granny Smith apples work well
