Soft, chewy, and golden air fryer Christmas cookies made with one simple dough you can customize for M&M, sugar, thumbprint, or kiss cookies.
3/4 cup unsalted butter, softened
1/4 cup shortening
1 1/2 cups sugar
2 eggs
1 1/2 tsp vanilla extract
1 box instant vanilla pudding mix
2 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
1 tsp baking powder
1/2 tsp salt
1/2 cup red and green M&Ms
1. Cream butter, shortening, and sugar until light and fluffy.
2. Add eggs, vanilla, and pudding mix; mix well.
3. Combine flour, baking powder, and salt in a bowl.
4. Add dry mixture gradually into the wet mixture.
5. Preheat air fryer to 350°F for 3 minutes.
6. Scoop tablespoon-sized dough balls and flatten slightly.
7. Press M&Ms on top.
8. Place parchment in basket after preheating; add cookies spaced 1 inch apart.
9. Air fry 5–8 minutes until golden.
10. Cool in basket 5 minutes, then transfer to a rack.
Use this dough for M&M cookies, thumbprint cookies, sugar cookies, or kiss cookies.
Freeze dough for up to 3 months.
