2 cups all-purpose flour
1 teaspoon baking powder
1/4 teaspoon baking soda
9 tablespoons butter softened
3/4 cup granulated sugar
1/4 cup white chocolate
1 cup plus 1 tablespoon milk
1 teaspoon vanilla
3 egg whites
2 cups butter softened
5 1/2 cups powdered sugar
1 teaspoon vanilla
2 tablespoons whipping cream
Red white and blue gel food coloring
1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees Fahrenheit and line cupcake pans with liners
2. Sift flour baking powder and baking soda together
3. Cream butter and sugar until fluffy
4. Melt white chocolate and add to butter mixture
5. Alternate adding dry ingredients with milk and vanilla
6. Whisk egg whites until fluffy peaks form
7. Fold egg whites gently into batter
8. Fill cupcake liners two-thirds full
9. Bake for 19 to 20 minutes until a toothpick comes out clean
10. Cool cupcakes completely
11. Beat butter for frosting until fluffy
12. Gradually add powdered sugar vanilla and whipping cream
13. Divide frosting into three bowls and color red white and blue
14. Pipe frosting swirls onto cooled cupcakes and serve
